Book a Beach Hut

The Beach Huts sit on the promenade, overlooking Blyth Beach — with great nearby facilities for families and day trips.

  • Nearby: 2 children’s play parks, public toilets, cafés, Co-op and Blyth Battery Museum (events throughout the year).
  • Goodie bag: Collect a goodie bag from the kiosk when you collect your key (refreshments for the day).
  • Named huts: Each hut has its own seaside-themed name.
  • Multi-day bookings: Keys must be handed back at the end of each day and collected again the next morning.
  • Different huts available: If a hut is fully booked, select a different one. Once you choose a booking type we always display the first available date for that hut!!
  • Last minute: Vacant Huts can be booked up to 1pm on that day.
  • Gift a hut for a day: Huts can be booked up to 14 months in advance - please note to ensure availability for others, only a select few can be booked over 6 months in advance.
There are currently 799 beach hut days available to book over the spring and summer months.

These are our current standard prices. All prices are for the full booking period, not per day. Individual beach huts may occasionally vary or include special offers, so please select a hut and date to see the exact price for your booking.

  • Single Day (1 day total): £45.00
  • 2 Days (Weekdays – Mon–Thu start): £80.00
  • 2 Days (Weekend – Sat & Sun): £90.00
  • Full Week (7 days – Mon–Sun): £280.00

Agreement Terms

  1. This agreement is for the time period specified at Blyth Beach Huts.
  2. Keys can be picked up from The Dave Stephens Centre from 8am.
  3. The keys must be returned to the drop off point at The Dave Stephens Centre by:
    • 8pm during Summer months
    • 6pm during Winter months (October to May)
    Keys must be returned each day if multiple dates are selected.
  4. If BVEL need to cancel your booking for any reason your payment will be refunded.
  5. Fire or BBQs are not permitted in or around the beach hut or decking area.
  6. Permits must be obtained from the Southeast Coastal Warden located at the Fort House (01670 797323) if you wish to have a BBQ on the grassed area or the beach.
  7. The hirer must not cause any inconvenience or disturbance to neighbouring beach huts. Please do not block the promenade.
  8. For fire safety, please do not smoke, light candles, or have naked flames of any kind in the beach hut. There are no sockets for additional items within the hut.
  9. Well behaved dogs are permitted. Any damage caused will be chargeable.
  10. Replacement of lost or damaged keys will be charged to the hirer.
  11. Any damage to the beach hut must be paid for.
  12. Access for vehicles to the promenade is not permitted.
